What goes into your baby's mouth matters
What goes into your baby's mouth matters
We started Tikiri because we couldn't stop asking that question. And the answer led us all the way back to nature — to rubber trees, organic cotton fields, and a promise we make to every parent.
"Every toy your baby holds is something they'll probably put in their mouth. So we asked ourselves — what if we made something we'd be completely at peace with?"
Let's talk about why organic matters
Here's something nobody tells you when you're shopping for baby toys: most of the soft dolls and plush animals on the market are made with synthetic fabrics, chemical dyes, and fillings that no one's really tested on tiny, developing bodies.
That's not a scare tactic. It's just honest. Babies chew, suck, and cuddle their toys constantly — and whatever is in those materials finds its way into your child's world.
At Tikiri, we started from the opposite direction. Instead of asking "what's the minimum we need to do to pass safety tests?", we asked "what would we want if this was our own baby?" That question changed everything about how we make toys.
About our certifications — and why we bother
We know "certified organic" gets thrown around a lot. So we want to be clear about what our certifications actually mean — and why we pursued both of them.
Organic Textile Standard
The OTS certification traces every fibre back to the farm. It verifies that the cotton or material used to make your baby's toy was grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or genetically modified seeds. It's about where things come from — and ensuring that "organic" isn't just a word on a label.
Global Organic Textile Standard
GOTS is the world's most respected organic textile certification — and arguably the hardest to earn. It doesn't just look at the raw material. It audits every single step of production: dyeing, stitching, packaging, worker welfare. If something isn't right anywhere in the chain, you don't get the stamp. We're proud to carry it.
The toys themselves — let us introduce them
Each toy in our collection was designed with a specific kind of love in mind. Some for newborns who need something soft and safe to hold. Some for toddlers ready for a little imagination. All of them made to the same quiet standard — nothing harmful, nothing hidden.
Baby Rheya Natural Rubber Baby Doll
Rheya is where Tikiri began. She's made from 100% natural rubber tapped from Sri Lanka's own rubber trees — the same kind of material that's been used safely for generations, long before the age of synthetic plastics. No BPA, no PVC, no phthalates. Just squeezable, bath-friendly, chew-safe natural rubber in the shape of a little friend. She's simple, and that simplicity is the whole point.
Baby Kaia Organic Doll
Kaia is usually the first Tikiri doll a baby meets. She's made with GOTS-certified organic cotton that's been washed to feel like a second skin — almost impossibly soft. In those early weeks when a baby's senses are just waking up, Kaia is the kind of companion that feels exactly right.
Baby Aria Organic Baby Doll
Aria is for those first months of really discovering the world — when everything gets grabbed, squeezed, and eventually tasted. Her organic cotton fabric handles all of it without a fuss, and every seam is finished so carefully you'd think someone made her by hand. Someone did.
Lily Organic Doll
Light, sweet, and beautifully simple — Lily is the kind of doll you keep finding on the floor because your toddler has been dragging her everywhere. Her colours are dyed with non-toxic, skin-safe pigments that stay gentle through every wash. She's a keeper, in the most literal sense.
Rose — Organic Doll with Brown Hair
There's something timeless about Rose. Maybe it's the warm brown hair made from natural fibres, or the way she looks like she belongs in a story. Her whole wardrobe is GOTS-certified fabric. She's the kind of doll that might outlast childhood and become something a parent quietly holds onto.
Baby Kye Organic Doll
Kye is the one who goes on every trip — stuffed into bags, dragged to the park, tucked under arms at bedtime. He's made from organic cotton that's soft enough for snuggles but sturdy enough for toddler adventure. Parents love him because he holds up. Kids love him because he's Kye.
Midnight Dragon Organic Fabric Soft Plush Toy
Not every child wants a doll. Some want a dragon. The Midnight Dragon is for those kids — the ones already building worlds in their heads at age two. He's deep and dreamy in colour, made from certified organic fabric, and safe enough that you won't worry when he becomes the most beloved thing in the house. And he will.
Aurora in White Organic Dress and Gold Wings
Aurora is our most special piece. Her white organic dress, her gold wings, the care that goes into every stitch of her — she feels like something out of a fairy tale. But the magic isn't just in how she looks. It's in knowing that every single part of her, from fabric to filling, is made to the highest organic standard. Because every child deserves enchantment without compromise.
We know you're navigating a lot of choices right now. Every product claims to be safe. Every label uses the right words. It's exhausting to figure out what's real.
So here's what we can promise you — not as a brand, but as people who make things for children and take that seriously: every Tikiri toy has been made with the same care we'd want for our own. The certifications aren't marketing. The organic cotton isn't a trend. The natural rubber is real, and it comes from here, from Sri Lanka, from trees we know.
We're just trying to make things worth trusting.
